Menalocytic nevi are benign localized pigmented lesions, which usually occur on the cutaneoussurface of the body but rarely on the mucous membranes. It is comparatively easy to encounterpigmented lesions of the oral cavity, but the melanocytic nevi of the pharyngeal wall areextremely rare worldwide and, to the best of our knowledge, there is no reported case of melanocyticnevus arising from pharyngeal wall. We report a case of a pigmented lesion on the posteriorwall of pharynx, which was microscopically confirmed as oropharyngeal blue nevus.
