The number of student start-up is increasing every year due to the startup education of many universities. The production of student entrepreneurs has a net function of improving economic value, such as job creation and employment and investment, but youth entrepreneurship representing student entrepreneurship has a survival rate of 18% within five years. Students interested in starting a business tend to be reluctant to start a business because of fear of failure. Therefore, universities must solve the task of establishing a startup safety net against startup failure.
This study attempted to present the university"s entrepreneurial re-challenge education method necessary for student entrepreneurs as part of the entrepreneurial safety net. To present the method, we analyzed the student start-up status, start-up education status of 8 universities nationwide, and the government"s start-up re-challenge support system, and reinterpreted the questionnaire related to start-up re-challenge surveyed by The Regional University Consortium of Korea (RUCK).
As a result, it was possible to suggest the current status and problems of student entrepreneurship, the needs of student entrepreneurs" entrepreneurial re-challenge education, and the method of entrepreneurial re-challenge education for university student entrepreneurs.
In this study, three methods of entrepreneurship re-challenge education were suggested. The first is to operate a startup team building matching system, the second is to reinforce the business plan establishment training based on the business feasibility analysis, and finally, to provide the maker education to equip the ability to build prototypes.
