In 2020, the COVID-19 situation forced all kind of schools to be conducted online-learning, resulting in a lot of confusion at school sites. Particularly, such confusion may have been aggravated in the performance-based curriculum, in which the proportion of activity learning is bigger than others. Therefore, this study seeks to explore the strategies what promote the online learner to participate the performance-based curriculum. To carry out this study, we progressed that 1) analyze concepts, components and characteristics of theories based on key-words related to the performance-based curriculum, learning motivation, and online learning, 2) select focusing interviewee suitable for this study, 3) have the FGI with learner’s group, 4) have the FII with professors. In conclusion, it was found that in order to promote learners’ participation in the performance-based curriculum, that individual activities are more effective than team activities, and professors need the periodic actions(In other words, it was a direct communication between the instructor and the learner. Professor"s feedback on assignments submitted by learners) to encourage learners.
