PAN-based carbon fibers dominate the market due to their excellent strength, modulus properties and high toughness. Owing to those desirable properties, PAN-based carbon fibers have been used in the automobile, energy industries and aerospace. PAN homopolymers have centralized and sudden heat release during the thermal oxidative stabilization step.
