Vacuoles are organelles within cells that contain various hydrolytic enzymes in small lipid pockets and involved in intracellular signaling. In this experiment, it was confirmed that vacuoles extracted from S. cerevisiae suppress the differentiation of 3T3-L1 adipocytes. It was confirmed by Oil Red O staining and Trighlyceride Quantification Assay that the lipid accumulation in the dose-dependently differentiated adipocytes was reduced at a concentration of less than 0.02μm/ml of vacuoles compared with GW9662 as a differentiation inhibitor.
