The purpose of this study is to investigate how the 12-week rehabilitation Pilates exercise program affects the oswestry disability index, lumbar lordosis angle, and lumbar muscle cross-sectional area in female patients with lumbar herniated intervertebral disc. The exercise program was conducted by subjects 3 times a week, 70 minutes at a time, for a total of 12 weeks. The study subjects were assigned 20 patients with lumbar herniated intervertebral disc in their 30s and 40s wirelessly to the rehabilitation Pilates exercise group (EG, n=10) and the general physical therapy group (CG, n=10), and the results were observed 12 weeks after the experiment. Data processing is two-way repeated ANOVA, paired t-test and independent t-test. The significant level of hypothesis verification is set-up (p<.05). The following results were derived. oswestry disability index in the period and interaction (P<.001), and in the group (P<.05). Lumbar lordosis angle showed significant differences in period, group, and interaction in the rehabilitation Pilates exercise group (P<.001). Lumbar cross-sectional area is used by a significant difference in period (P<.05), interaction (P<.001), As a result of the paired t test, there was a significant difference (P<.001) in the exercise group, and each element showed a positive pattern after 12 weeks. In conclusion, this study suggests the possibility that middle-aged female patients with lumbar disc herniation in their 30s and 40s can improve the degree of lumbar disc disease through rehabilitation pilates exercise. In conclusion, this study suggests the possibility of improving lumbar disc disease through rehabilitation Pilates exercise in middle-aged female patients with lumbar herniated intervertebral disc in their 30s and 40s. In future studies, there is a need for comparative studies conducted on patients in their 50s and 60s or older.
