Non-destructive evaluation of degradation in metallic materials is difficult with general ultrasonic detection methods. Therefore, acoustic nonlinearity is constantly studied as an alternative technique. However, during acoustic nonlinearity parameter measurements, deviation occurs depending on performance of data acquisition device. Therefore, sufficient data acquisition performance is necessary for reliable measurement. In this study, the influence of amplitude resolution and sampling rate to the accuracy of nonlinear parameter measurement was discussed.
