The purpose of this study was to provide basic data on ways to improve understanding of life satisfaction of adolescents and solve ife satisfaction of adolescents problems by comprehensively exploring the relationship between life satisfaction of adolescents and related factors. 23 studies, which were finally selected as research materials, were meta-analyzed using the R program.
The results of this study are as follows. First, the effect size of correlation of positive factors and that of negative factors with life satisfaction of adolescents showed moderate effect size and the effect size of positive factors was larger than that of negative factors. Second, the effect size of types of positive factors was shown in the order of family life, emotion, school life, and social life, while the effect size of negative factor was shown in the order of emotion, school life, social life, and family life. Third, according to factor classification, the effect size of internal factor in both positive and negative factors was larger than that of environmental factor. Fourth, according to the research target, the effect size of Christian adolescents in both positive and negative factors was larger than that of non-christian adolescents. Based on study results, the implications on life satisfaction of adolescents and related factors are discussed, and the limitations of this study were described.
