This study aims to critically analyze the researchers' attitudes of previous studies for unification of language norms and seek for problems and alternatives in order to overcome the language heterogeneity between South Korea and North Korea. For this, the following items were comprehensively and organically reviewed. 1) Why should we overcome the language heterogeneity? 2) Then, what should be the principle of language unification? 3) What will be the specific realization plan? 4) Is it feasible considering our language use environment? 5) Are there any linguistic and/or social problems therefrom? In conclusion, it was considered that the unification of the languages ??between the two Koreas should avoid the idealistic and eclectic way but should be for the efficient operation of the national administration. The researchers thought it realistic and feasible way to unify the Korean language based on South Korea.
