This paper analyzed the effect of the characteristics of the labor market on the structure of household consumption expenditure. By applying the almost ideal demand system(AIDS) to the Korean Labor and Income Panel Study(KLIPS), the demand function for 11 item was estimated from 2005 to 17, and expenditure elasticity was calculated. As a result, it was found that job and employment status were reflected in household consumption. In general, households with low job status or non-regular workers had a high proportion of daily necessities such as food, housing, health care, and transportation. On the other hand, households with high job status had a high proportion of spending on eating out, clothing, and entertainment expenses. Also there was a difference in the sensitivity of spending between jobs by consumption category. There is a high possibility that consumption will increase in health care, cultural entertainment, and eating out in the future. For the consumption welfare of the vulnerable in the labor market, it is necessary to stabilize the prices of goods related to food, clothing and housing, and to expand public welfare, as well as to create stable income and stabilize employment in the labor market.
