As a medicinal herb, CA contains lots of active components and possesses various pharmacological activities. Recently l CA has been frequently applied in cosmetics for skin whitening. However, there are still many issues to be figured out, like consistent effects and unknown mechanisms. This study aimed to demonstrate the anti-melanogenesis activity of hexane fraction of CA (HCA) on UVB-induced skin hyperpigmentation.
