Bee pollen is a raw material of royal jelly as well as an essential ingredient for the maintenance and growth of honeybees. However, the anti-inflammatory effects in bee pollen have not been appropriately evaluated yet. This study investigated the anti-inflammatory activities of the ethanol extracts of Korean bee pollen (EEBP) using LPS-induced RAW264.7 cells. As a result, compared with normal cells, LPS-induced cells exhibited cell spreading, an irregular shape, and pseudopod formation, which was improved by treatment with EEBP.
