Skin is composed of multilayers such as epidermis, dermis, and hypodermis. Acacetin is a 4’-O-methylated flavone belongs to the flavonoid group of polyphenols. Although various biological functions such as anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-cancer were reported, however, the functions of acacetin in development of skin structure and skin fibril formation are relatively unclear.
