Based on the profound and complex changes in international relations and the world order, China has put forward the concept of a ‘harmonious world’ and a community with a shared future for mankind. This is China’s new geopolitical thought aimed at addressing the long-term development of human society, whose core is ‘peace, development, mutual benefit and win-win.’ It transcends the traditional geopolitical thought that was centered on western centrism, antagonism and expansion control, and provides a ‘China plan’ for the peaceful coexistence, inclusive development and coexistence of mankind. China’s new geopolitical thought promotes the implementation of the geo-strategy in Northeast Asia with the purpose of upholding multilateralism, realizing democracy in international relations, building an open world economy, and promoting exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations. Under the guidance of this strategy, China has taken an active part in international affairs in the political, economic, security and cultural fields in northeast Asia and sought win-win cooperation in the region. With the joint efforts of all countries, countries in Northeast Asia can build a more harmonious community of interests.
