This study reviews the curriculum development of converging technology systems and standardization of Korea university, which is supported by KATS(Korea Agency for Technology and Standards) and managed by KSA(Korea Standards Association). This program aims to produce standards professionals in the area of converging technology. As the 4th industrial revolution is emerging, new industries are utilizing converging technologies. It is recognized that the leadership in international standardization is getting more important to secure national competitiveness in the emerging new industries. To do so, cultivation of standards professional is necessary. Standardization activities have long been considered as a work of engineers. However, it is emphasized that standards and standardization could be utilized as a strategic weapon of business. So standards professionals required to have competence regarding not only engineering but also management. The education programs provided by Korea university try to satisfy those recent requirement for standards professionals. And also, capstone design course and university-industry project course contribute to promote the comprehensive problem solving competence of students. KSA also provide extra curriculum for the students to tackle practical problems in the standardization activities. Even though those curricula seems to provide diverse courses for students, it seems necessary to provide boot camp as a primer course for students with little or no background in the related engineering and/or management.
