In this study, we confirmed the contents pointed out as current problems for the quality improvement and future’s developmental direction of the integrated care service, a Korean-style community care project, and the practical supplementation contents through the review of previous studies. Through this study, we confirmed that there are major issues such as the practicality of the identifying the care needs of service consumers, the composition of the services provided, the introduction of the integrated schedule management system, and the resolution of financial problems, and in this regard, we derive research proposals for that and its contents are as follows: First, the needs analysis of the service recipients should be composed of patient-centered rather than investigator-centered. In particular, medical management and care service by medical staff should be strengthened, and service items that are specialized according to gender, age, disability type and personal preference should be gradually strengthened. Second, service items should be reorganized by analyzing satisfaction, redundancy, and effectiveness of service items, including expansion and reorganization of current patient-centered home elderly service items and contents into general care service contents for the ordinary elderly. Third, systematization and specialization of pre-booking and visit schedule management between service providers and recipients is required through the introduction of an integrated schedule management system. Fourth, it can be considered that the establishment of a resource sharing system for each project, elimination of overlapping and low-importance service items, linkage or circulation of financial resources with service-related industries, input of local public medical personnel, increase in consumer self-pay rate, and expansion of participation in social enterprises. We hope that the development of Korean-style community care and future-oriented values will be expanded through these research proposals in this study.
