In studying this paper I have aimed for certain effects: Novice appreciators (students) may feel fear of this approach. However this approach leads them to become more reflective but also provides them with experiences drawn from real appreciation that make action in reflection meaningful and possible in the first place. Through this project, students developed their growth with four phases like the four butterfly life cycle. They are 'Born as egg', 'Hatched as larva', 'Become a pupa in chrysalis,' and 'Flying as a butterfly'. However, every student in the project did not become butterfly and to fly. But I hope students have experience of appreciation not theoretically but practically, by considering not only the head but also the heart, or better, the whole picture. I wanted to offer a theory of the unique that knows how to address the particular case, the practical moments of appreciation in which emotion, morality, and reason cannot be disentangled. In this study, my main function as a teacher was to destroy the bindings attached to the concept of appreciation. I was to have students recover their natural instinct to see, to invent to listen to their intuition. I had become the unteacher. Students were teachers of themselves: the real teacher was appreciation itself.
