This study aimed at studying awareness of the principal, teachers and parents for necessity of policies about child abuse, countermeasures of child abuse and prevention. The study was conducted on 391 people including 70 principals and 161 teachers of childcare centers and 160 parents in U city and Kyungsangnam-do area. The results are as following; First, besides the necessity of education based on actual child abuse cases, parents felt necessity of education for the concept and content of child abuse, and children’s human rights. Second, in terms of prevention, the teacher group regarded reducing heavy tasks as the most important factor while the principal group regarded a program to enhance teachers’ self-esteem and the parents group regarded toughening up penalties and constant education to prevent child abuse as a key factor. The results showed difference of awareness of child abuse among the principals, teachers and parents. This difference indicates there may be a problem due to the difference of awareness of specific policies for child abuse prevention between the organization and the parents.
