Report Errors

An inventory was developed to assess counselor-perceived real relationship behaviors during counseling sessions. This inventory includes 73 items identified by Cho (2014). Using a sample of 183 counselors, the author tested the items and developed a 12-item measure consisting of 2 subscales (Empathic Support and Self-disclosure Communication). The total score and each subscale demonstrated high internal consistency and generally good initial validity. The internal consistencies of the total scale and the subscales were good. The convergent validity and discriminant validity of the IRRB-T was partially supported. Research, clinical implications, limitations, and recommendations for future studies were discussed.
