Report Errors
The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between the sense ofcommunity in the old downtown area and its impact on fear of crime among thetownspeople. The study, by exploring such relationship, aims to provide a directionto reduce fear of crime in town and vitalize community as a result. For this thesurvey data was established by drawing factors for the research analysis through theconsideration of preceding researches on sense of community and fear of crime. And Conducting a survey targeting residents of old downtown of Gimhae-si. In theresults of the study, the sense of community in old downtown had significanteffects on the fear of crime(physical disorder, social disorder, specific fear, generalfear). But the sense of community in old downtown had no significant effects onthe fear of crime(vulnerability).
