The purpose of this study is to examine whether moral dilemma debating can enhance students’ moral judgement ability after reading young adult literature works. Moral dilemma was constructed based on reading, usually main ideal. For this, about 100 stories containing moral lesson were prepared, among which 32 stories were selected according to students’ interest and level. 44 high school students in Jinju were chosen based on their word and reading knowledge. They were divided into control group (22) and experimental group (22) randomly. Students’ word knowledge was checked using Nation’s Korean Version Word Test and their reading level was tested using TOEFL reading comprehension. This study lasted for 18 weeks and students were taught twice a week. After reading moral dilemma was presented and students started moral dilemma debating. The results showed that moral dilemma debating increased students’ moral judgement level.
