This study is an influencing factor on the difficulties that appear in the process of growing up as an athlete of multicultural students, and the purpose of this study is to understand the multicultural student athlete as a study on the career exploration process and to understand and analyze the difficulties that appear in the growth process of multicultural students. have. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, as a qualitative study, first, research subjects were selected through a purposive sampling method based on a criterion-oriented selection method that is often used in qualitative research. As for the specific method of selecting participants for the study, three students were selected from high school, college students, and general athletes participating as multicultural student athletes. As a data collection and analysis method, the data collected through in-depth interview, participatory observation, and documentary data were analyzed using the cultural descriptive analysis method of Spradley (1980), which is a representative qualitative research method. In the process of analysis, it was continuously verified by the truthfulness and ethics of the research. Through this, conclusions were drawn based on the analysis and interpretation results. The conclusions are as follows, focusing on the two research questions established in this study. First, the results of this study showed that environmental factors, confidence in one"s own athletic ability, and naturalization problems were the biggest common factors for difficulties in growing up as multicultural student athletes. Second, as a result of searching for commonalities as multicultural student athletes, they were found to be common to students" environmental poverty, single-parent families, school maladjustment, and bullying. It represents the process by which multicultural student-athletes receive common values, beliefs, and manners as members of a group through sports and become assimilated into it. It is a process of redefining one"s values through interaction and communication with friends, and it is a process of learning culture and expressing one"s self-realization within the sports club to which one belongs.
