Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine the suitability of the united technology acceptance theory for the use of sports wearables that can be used by seniors.
Method: The subjects of this study were seniors who have experience with wearable devices. The sampling method was stratified sampling, and a total of 300 questionnaires were distributed to seniors registered at senior welfare centers in Seoul and Gyeongi. A total of 289 questionnaires were used for the analysis, except for 11 questionnaires. For data analysis, reliability analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation model were performed.
Results: The results of this study are as follows. It was found that performance expectations, effort expectations, social influence, and facilitation conditions affect behavior intention, and facilitation conditions affect intention to use.
Conclusion: Therefore, this study serves as an opportunity to reveal the important factors in the use of sports wearable devices for the health of seniors.
