The current study, under the theoretical approach that volunteer activities are closely related to community leadership, community tie, and community readiness, is an exploratory analysis of the mediational effect of community leadership and community ties on the relationship between volunteer satisfaction and community readiness. The data was collected from 177 volunteers at 31 Dong-V-sites in Anyang City in 2020. For data analysis, linear regression analysis was used to confirm the mediating effect of community tie and community leadership, and the significance of the mediating effect was examined through bootstrapping using SPSS Process Macro Model 4. As a result of the analysis, the current study found that volunteer satisfaction had a significantly positive effect on community leadership, community tie, and community readiness, respectively. In addition, it was examined that community leadership and community ties mediate volunteer satisfaction and community readiness. This shows that the higher the qualitative satisfaction of volunteers with their activities are, the stronger the community leadership and community ties relationship with various local agenda becomes, which can contribute in enhancing the community"s readiness in acceptance and participation in specific issues. Through this study, while discovering the practical value of volunteer activities at the community level, it also found the usefulness of community readiness (i.e., yet an unfamiliar concept in Korea), and that it can be used as a community practice model.
