The article presents the main features of the regulation of digital platforms according to the draft of the Digital Markets Act of the EU as well as according to a regulation in German antitrust law. On this basis, the article analyses to what extent the regulation of digital platforms is similar to the regulation of physical infrastructures. Finally, the article takes a look at similar conceptual challenges in the regulation of digital platforms in German media law.
