The purpose of this study is to analyze the perceptions of female farmers in order to establish support policies in the work-life field and to explore their awareness of the problems and improvement plans. In order to achieve the research purpose, focus group interviews (FGIs) were conducted with 20 female farmers from around the country, and word-cloud and semantic network analyses were conducted on their responses. In addition, 20 of the FGI participants were surveyed on the problems in, and improvement plans for, support policies for female farmers in order to analyze their level of awareness about the work-life field. The results of the study are as follows. Female farmers’ awareness of work and life were largely divided into perceptions, problems, and support policies in rural areas surrounding them, and policies are inconsistent. In addition, some opinions were that support is less realistic for women’s farming activities, and support is often less effective because it is too far from the farming site. In addition, female farmers recognize the need for work-life support policies, but their awareness of such policies is limited, so publicity needs to be strengthened. Lastly, the effectiveness of support policies needs to be strengthened, because it is less helpful compared to policy accessibility.
