This study analyzed the effect of foot stability by wearing non-slip sox on anaerobic exercise performance, balance, and performance of soccer skills. A total of 15 amateur soccer players participated, but 2 players withdrew during the study procedure, so 13 players complete the study. Subjects randomly wore two types of sox and completed the tests of anaerobic exercise performance(sprinting, power, agility), balance(static, dynamic), soccer skills(dribbling), and subjective feeling of wearing socks(non-slip sox, normal sox). There were significant difference between the groups in sprinting at 10m, 20m, and 30m(p<.05). There was no statistically significant difference in power, but a trend was observed(p=.09). Agility(Arrowhead, 505 test) was similar between two groups. Static balances(both, right foot and left foot) were not significant differences, but dynamic balance was higher in the non-slip sox than in the normal sox(p<.05). The dribbling was similar between the groups. There was no difference between the groups in the subjective feeling of wearing socks in comfort, warmth, moisture, touch, and tightness items, but the non-slip socks group had a higher sense of stability(p<.005). Together these findings suggest that it is necessary to develop and apply a scientific training program along with improving foot stability.
