The number of people who enjoy marine leisure sports keeps increasing, especially in the MZ generation. Therefore the current study applied Pine & Gilmore"s experiential economy theory (4Es) to marine leisure sports experience activities in Jeju Island to identify these experiential elements. Specifically, this study identifies the relationships among experiential elements, local image, place attachment, and revisit intention perceived by marine tourists of the MZ generation. Three hundred fifty online questionnaires were distributed, 310 questionnaires were collected, and 272 valid questionnaires were used for analysis except for insincere respondents. The demographic characteristics of the survey subjects were confirmed through frequency analysis. Moreover, reliability, validity, and correlation analysis were conducted with the SPSS 25.0 program. Structural equation modeling verified causal relationships between variables to demonstrate the hypothesis. As a result of the study, the current study found that education, escape, and esthetic experiences among the four experiential elements of marine leisure sports in Jeju Island have positive effects on the local image. In addition, this study verified significant relationships among place attachment, local image, and revisit intention. In sum, the current study provides meaningful base data for the marine leisure industry in Jeju Island. In particular, this study can contribute to developing marketing strategy and policy preparation related to marine tourism, especially on Jeju Island.
