The purpose of this study is to reveal the semantic conceptualization, synchronization, and value problems of Russian proverbs from a cognitive linguistic perspective. To this end, we first examine the cognitive mechanisms for identifying cognitive linguistic meanings, and by the mechanisms, the conceptualization of proverbs, the scale and aspect of valuation are analyzed. After that, we will try to identify the meaning and characteristics of the proverb from the point of view of value theory. Data for research analysis were limited to proverbs related to animals, women, and men. This is because not only are these proverbs the subject of the largest number in Russian proverbs, but they also clearly reveal the conceptual structure and value evaluation structure of Russians. This paper is significant in that it expands the research area of Russian linguistics in the aspect of cognitive linguistics.
