The purpose of this thesis is to study the motives influencing the choice of major in cosmetology and to increase their satisfaction with their choice. The subjects of this study were adult male and female cosmetology major students in 20s and 30s, a total of 421 questionnaires were used as the final analysis. According to the results of this study, it is necessary to provide more a broader range of information and knowledge about cosmetology, besides basic information, to the cosmetology majors so as to provide more effective motivation to the selection of their majors. In addition, educators educating them should be developed together. Furthermore, there are some issues that need to be addressed in the selection of majors. Through resolving these issues, the satisfaction and achievement of the cosmetology majors will increase, and the dignity and pride of the beauty majors will also be raised. I hope that this study will be used as a mea ningful basic data in the future and will be used as a material that will have a positive effect on those who study cosmetology in the future.
