The academic discussion on cosmetology has started since the Department of Cosmetology was introduced in college curriculum. As a great deal of research about cosmetology has been made, technologies used in the beauty industry field need to be established in a systemic and scientific way. In particular, verifying multi-technologies, based on scientific logics becomes integral in the beauty industry and cosmetology field. In order to verify such technologies, it needs to establish the system that can program, assess and complement them. Multiple beauty industry programs would serve as a good momentum for the evolution of beauty field for programs themselves are performed according to systemic and scientific procedures. The analysis of the research trend of beauty industry programs (the title of the research) can be said to be a preliminary factor necessary for establishing the research on programs for a more advanced beauty industry and enhancing its quality. In this regard, the study is of significance in that it made the first attempt to analyze the research trend of beauty industry programs. The purpose of the study is to analyze the characteristics of research periods, research fields, research subjects, research titles, and research methods, targeting national thesis on the title of beauty industry programs to understand the current status of the research and present the future direction and problems.
