This study is to seek improvement directions for improving professional knowledge and practical skills in Taekwondo through the problems of Taekwondo education of university students majoring in Taekwondo. The subjects of the study were university Taekwondo instructors and domestic and international Taekwondo instructors. The survey method was Delphi survey. The results of the study are as follows: First, regarding the problems of professional knowledge and practical skills in Taekwondo, institutions showed 'lack of specialized education manuals for elite and daily sports Taekwondo instructors,’ . Universities showed 'currently, universities do not feel the need other than their own events because there are many training sessions focusing on competition performance by event(competition, poomsae, demonstration).’ And university students showed ‘they recognize that they only need to do well in their own sports.’ Second, regarding the improvement of professional knowledge and practical skills in Taekwondo, universities showed ‘motivation and present various career directions to build expertise in each event (competition, poomsae, demonstration). Institutions showed‘Taekwondo institutions provide various seminar opportunities for Taekwondo students’. And university students showed ‘recognition of possibility of employment in other sports (competition, poomsae, demonstration) other than major sports’. Third, the important factors of professional knowledge and practical skills in Taekwondo was ‘recognition of necessity linked to Taekwondo career setting,’ ‘will of Taekwondo students,’ ‘reorganization of curriculum,’ and ‘interest in learning other Taekwondo events (competition, poomsae, demonstration)’.
