The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of social support, ego-identity on career preparation behavior of undergraduate with institutional care background. The method of this study was the survey of 214 undergraduates who have lived over two years in institution for children. The results of the finding were as follows; First, the level of career preparation behavior was intermediate. Second, social support, especially family support exercised a significant effect on career preparation behavior, Lastly, Ego-Identity, specially 'confidence in future', 'inner-direction' effected significantly on career preparation behavior. Eventually, career counseling to undergraduate with institutional care background was in direct contact with the issue of relations with bio-family. According to this findings, researcher propose the importance of the restoration of bio-family relations.
