목적:
본 연구는 Histoacryl(B. Braun, Germany)과 Lipiodol(Guerbet, French)의 배합 방법이 혼합물의 특성에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 한다.
대상 및 방법:
본 실험은 Histoacryl과 Lipiodol을 사용하여 Medicine cup을 사용하는 고식적인 배합 방법과 Discofix C(3-way stopcock; B. Braun, Germany)를 사용한 배합 방법을 대상으로 하였다. 실험 방법은 혼합물의 유동 시간과 중합 시간 그리고 중합 후의 형태학적 입자의 모양을 관찰하였다.
결과:
Medicine cup을 사용한 방법에서 유동 시간(mean time of 28 ± 5.8 sec)과 중합 시간(mean time of 123.2 ± 29.2 sec)이 편차가 크고 중합 후 입자의 형태가 불균질하였다. 반면에 Discofix C를 사용한 방법에서 유동 시간(mean time of 19.8 ± 1.3 sec)과 중합 시간(mean time of 102.2 ± 4.9 sec)이 빠르며 편차가 작고 중합 후 입자의 형태가 균질하였다.
결론:
Histoacryl과 Lipiodol의 배합 방법에 따라 혼합물의 특성에 차이가 있었다(p＜0.001). Discofix C와 같은 3-way stopcock을 사용하여 Histoacryl과 Lipiodol를 배합하면 혼합물의 입자가 균질하게 유지되어 안정적이고 효과적인 색전술이 가능 할 것으로 기대된다.
