Objective: This study aims to explore the relations among self-care, developmental tasks and well-being of young adults in South Korea. Methods: Young adults in their 20s and early 30s living in Seoul and Gyeonggi area were selected and an online survey was conducted. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were performed, and further analy- ses were conducted by sex to examine whether there existed differences. Results: First, the level of well-being was low, which means the importance of immediate intervention for the mental health of young adults, and women showed a lower level. The level of self-care was not high, and health responsibility showed the lowest level. Developmental task achievement seemed delayed and postponed. Second, regarding correlation analysis, overall, well-being, self-care, and developmental tasks were significantly correlated. Third, the regression analysis showed that employment, leaving home, and social relationships satisfaction were significantly related to well-being. Fourth, the subcategories of self-care, spiritual growth, stress management, and interpersonal relations were significant, and the size of effects were greater. Sex differences were also found. Conclusions: Based on the results, practical implications and suggestions for future studies are discussed.
