Purposes: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of hospital employees’ GRIT on innovation behavior, analyze the mediating effect of job engagement and Moderated mediating effect of self-efficacy, and draw implications for improving the hospital's efficient human resource management and securing hospital competitiveness. Methods: This study was collected through a self-written survey using a structured questionnaire for those engaged in medical institutions at the hospital level or higher located in Busan and Gyeongnam. In the survey, researchers visited medical institutions in person, revealed the purpose of the study, distributed 300 copies, and retrieved 295 copies, of which 289 copies were used, excluding six questionnaires that were deemed insincere and inconsistent. SPSS 26.0 and SPSS Process Macro 4.0 were used to analyze through frequency analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. Findings: As a result of verifying the mediating effect of job engagement in the relationship between GRIT and innovation behavior, GRIT, job engagement, and innovation behavior showed a positive(+) causality, and job engagement partially mediated the relationship between GRIT and innovation behavior. No moderated mediating effect was observed for self-efficacy in the relationship between these variables. Practical Implications: To influence the innovation behavior of hospital organizations, it suggests the need to prepare various measures such as providing programs and improving treatment so that hospital Employees can induce continuous interest and effort in their jobs.
