After the COVID-19 outbreak, expectations and interest in telemedicine and digital healthcare are increasing in Korea. As a regulated industry, telemedicine has many impacts and uncertainties, which has a hard time forecasting in future technologies and designing R&D roadmaps. Scenario planning is widely used as a thinking tool to make good decisions in the uncertain future. However, it has a fatal disadvantage that concreteness cannot be guaranteed in future technology prospects. In this study, after deriving scenarios, TRIZ's law of technology evolution was applied to provide specific forecasts for possible future technologies for each scenario. As a result, a total of four scenarios were derived depending on whether or not telemedicine would be legalized, and it was possible to increase the detailed specificity for each scenario. It is expected that the framework of future technology prospects in this study will provide meaningful insights into the future prospects for promising technologies and establishment of R&D strategies.
