In order to take a preventative approach, moving away from the post-processing method, to limit violations of the human rights of disabled athletes in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, this study investigated various situations regarding human rights of athletes, such as verbal and physical violence and sexual violence, and disabled sports for disabled athletes in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. The purpose of this study is to identify the level of human rights-related awareness and education and create a sports environment to guarantee the human rights of disabled athletes in Jeju Island. The results of this study show that the number of subjects who have experienced or witnessed human rights violations is as follows: 99 people have experienced human rights violations of movement and access rights, 47 people have experienced unfair experiences, and 29 people have experienced verbal/physical violence and bullying. When viewed only in number, it may be perceived as a very small number. Although the results of this study did not include a large number of subjects, it is believed that the results of this study are very meaningful. In subsequent follow-up studies, it is believed that in-depth research should be conducted through methods such as in-depth interviews with researchers who have experience in violating human rights in sports for the disabled.
