With the rapid increase in the senior population, the concept of successful aging--characterized by active engagement in life from physical, mental, and social well-being perspectives--has garnered considerable attention. The purpose of this study is to empirically investigate the effects of the M2E program (an integrated digital service promoting both physical and digital activities by providing monetary incentives for exercise) on the physical, mental, and social well-being, as well as life satisfaction, of seniors. Participants aged 60 and above, expressing interest in both exercise and digital activities, were recruited from five senior welfare centers in Seoul using quota sampling, resulting in a cohort of 105 participants segmented into exercise-only (n=37), M2E program (n=36), and control (n=32) groups. The treatment groups underwent two months of respective interventions. Findings indicate that participation in exercise positively influences the physical and mental well-being of seniors, while participation in the M2E program correlates with improved social well-being and life satisfaction. These results demonstrate the significance of integrating physical and digital activities for seniors’ overall well-being, highlighting the importance of efforts to enhance digital literacy and combine digital engagement with exercise to promote comprehensive well-being and life satisfaction of seniors, thereby achieving successful aging.
