The purpose of this study was to explore effective transition methods between liberal arts and majors. To this end, in this study, the purpose and evaluation criteria of the team’s project report on the major subject were confirmed, and the report results were analyzed. Among the research results, the ones showing commonality between liberal arts and majors and those showing differentiation were classified, and the characteristics that can contribute to the transition between liberal arts and majors in each direction were extracted. The result of the writing analysis of the major directly contributes three things to the transition of the liberal arts major. First, liberal arts educators can gain a deeper understanding of the learner’s major. The second contribution is the expansion of the principles and methods of execution activities in liberal arts writing education that aims for universal education. Third, it serves as a justification for the use of liberal arts education based on general principles that are commonly practiced in the liberal arts major. Three characteristics can be abstracted from discrimination. First, the process of giving meaning to one’s actions and the stratification make it possible to secure the systematization and structure of the subject. Second, objectivity and conciseness provide a useful framework across the liberal arts major. Third, the importance of the revision process, which calculates and reconsiders significant knowledge for writing, is a comprehensive and important characteristic of the liberal arts major.
