This study aims to examine the trends and cases in which Korean dance has attempted to converge with various arts in the changing field of traditional performing arts in Korea. This has the meaning of a new convergence of Korean dance, which adheres to Korea's traditions, and traditional performing arts as an important content in Korea. As a result of the study, firstly, it was found that the unclear problems in the establishment of terminology in traditional performing arts and the classification system of support projects for traditional dance should be improved. Second, when looking at cases of fusion between traditional performing arts and Korean dance, examples of characters in literature were found to be fused into various genres or fused with a modern sense, and fused with traditional dance and technology. Recently, communication with the audience was found. It appears that it is developing into cases of creating works as a new attempt to interact with the world. Lastly, active support will also be needed for emerging and creative artists.
