An integrative literature review of educational domestic infection control intervention programs was conducted to identify key program components for different target groups and to use this information to develop a customized infection control intervention program. A search of domestic journals published from January 2000 to July 2024 using the keywords 'infection control,' 'education,' 'program,' and 'effect' resulted in the selection of 33 papers. The subsequent systematic review involved five stages: problem definition, literature search, evaluation, analysis, and presentation. Research participants, designs, program themes, development methods, intervention methods, periods, frequencies, and effect evaluations were analyzed. The results show that research on educational infection control intervention programs has steadily increased since 2000. Most of the intervention targets were nursing students or nurses, and focus was placed on general infection prevention and control. Common development methods included the ADDIE model and simulation-based interventions; one-time interventions predominated. The most frequent effect evaluations were knowledge and performance. These findings suggest the need for a customized educational intervention program based on a systematic educational design framework tailored to target audience needs.
