Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of mirror therapy on low limb function of stroke patients. The searched for the case controlled clinical trials about the effects of the mirror therapy on stroke patients.
Methods : Fifteen studies were selected form KISS, RISS databases, Google scholar published until 2009 to June 2022. The selected studies included experimental groups and control group with mirror therapy and general exercise, and this studies evaluated gait balance, motor function, ADL, muscle activity, and muscular strength
Results : The fifteen selected studies were conducted on a total of 511 patients. Gait, balance, motor function, ADL, muscle activity, muscular strength were improved by mirror therapy on patients with stroke. This study summarizes the results of applying a variety of assessments to stroke patients in a mirror therapy.
