In addition to the electric vehicle chasm phenomenon, consumer’s concerns about a series of electric vehicle fires are amplifying the sense of crisis in the sense of crisis in the electric vehicle market. According to the NFA(National Fire Agency), while the number of electric vehicle fires continues to increase, the only way to extinguish lithium-ion battery fires is by injecting large amounts of water or eroding them into water tanks. As a result of analyzing previous study in 2022, we could find out the important attributes such as ‘Battery fire’, ‘Battery Life Time’, and ‘EV Infra’. In this study, a survey was conducted on functional safety quality attributes, which were previously conducted for consumers, and research method such as PCSI were added to conduct research with a more specific and specialized approach. Based on the results of a survey conducted on 200 general consumers in 2022, finally 16 attributes related to safety attributes were derived out of existing 22 quality attributes. For 16 attributes were grouped into 4 groups through web crawling results and expert group interviews, and a survey was conducted on 120 experts of automotive and battery field. By classifying with Kano model and PCSI, ‘Battery ’Collision Test’, ‘Battery Fire Safety Time’, ‘EV infra’ were classified as the most important attributes which could be a dissatisfaction attributes. This study is expected to provide useful information for overcoming the situation of Electric Vehicle on chasm.
