The purpose of this study is to understand the main pull factors that attract Chinese art students to study in Korea through a questionnaire survey. Drawing from the findings of previous studies, this study categorized the pull factors into five distinct categories: Economic factors, Social factors, Geographical factors, Cultural factors, and Educational factors. To further analyze the factors that motivate art students to study abroad, a questionnaire survey was conducted among 208 participants. The results of this survey reveal that Chinese art students who choose to study in South Korea are more heavily influenced by the country's cultural and social pull factors. Interestingly, the economic factors highlighted in the phenomenon study, such as affordable study abroad fees, the availability of scholarships, and work opportunities, do not emerge as significant motivators for art students seeking to study in Korea professionally. Furthermore, when examining the factors from the perspective of degree courses, the study uncovers notable differences in social, cultural, and geographical factors between undergraduate and master's degree programs. In light of these findings, Therefore, it is crucial for the Korean government to consider the distinct characteristics and preferences of students in undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs when formulating policies related to international students. By doing so, Korea can effectively maximize its pull factors and enhance its appeal as a destination for higher education.
