The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the leadership of SMEs''s managers has a significant effect on the trust of leaders and job satisfaction of organizational members. 227 data were collected from manufacturing workers among SMEs in Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungcheong provinces for empirical analysis.
As a result, the variables of leadership(charisma, individual consideration, intellectual stimulation, conditional compensation) of SMEs''s managers had a significant influence on the trust of the leader. Charisma and individual consideration have a significant effect on the job satisfaction of the variables of SMEs''s manager leadership(charisma, individual consideration, intellectual stimulation, conditional compensation). Intellectual stimulation and conditional compensation did not have a significant effect on job satisfaction. On the other hand, it was found that the trust of the leader is mediating effect on the relationship between leadership(charisma, individual consideration, intellectual stimulation, condition compensation) and job satisfaction.
The role of the leader''s trust in SMEs, which are relatively limited in size and resources compared to large corporations, can be a very important factor for SMEs to improve corporate performance. Based on the results of this study, theoretical and practical strategic implications were derived and the limitations of the research and future research directions were discussed. In addition, statistical validation of mediating effects and moderating effects can be useful in social science research analysis.
