The purpose of this study is to identity the parking needs by
biulding types, using the parking census bata of Seoul city in
1987, the interrelation between parking needs and the building
standards were studied by regression analysis to identity the
factors most relevant to the parking needs, the results of the
mathematical analysis show that major factors were identifed
for each building type as following; (1)For office buildings,
the sum of the number of visitors and occupaints of the building,
(2)for hotels, the floor space and the number of Rooms, (3)for
medical institutions, the floor space and the number of beds,
and (4)for commercial wedding ceremony halls, the floor space,
the number of the seats, and the number of ceremony rooms.
