This study, for the improvement of the visual environment in huging
and highrising apartments is the survey of all problems in the
physical-form characteristic and the household's reaction,
focusing on the coutour-figures of highrise apartment buildings
in Pusan. The result of this study is as follows.
1) The coutour-figures of buildings shows the simplicity and
uniformity by reason of the commercialism and benefit in construction,
and the architects' lack of the creative in design.
2) The coutour-figures of buildings is to be varied by the vertically
and horizontally mass-composed figures and the design types of
balconies, doors, windows, etc. in the elevation of buildings.
3) It is considerated that in designning, planning and construction
defects is to be improved and the system is to be properly established,
related with the coutour-figures of building.
