This paper is devoted to the study of Tamula's method of classifying patterns using fuzzy relations under t-norms and to find the exact calculation formulas of similarity relation induced by shift invariant fuzzy relation under continuous t-norm on R. Shift invariant one-step fuzzy relations on R are treated and the exact calculation formulas for the similitude as a limit value of the n-step fuzzy relation are derived. Some illustrative examples are given.
