I am going to suggest the possible orientations that the study of korean modern literature have to go forward to.
1. I think it is the most problematic point that the hard division between korean premodern literature and korean modern literature in the department of korean language and literature. Now, we must go forward for standing the point of view that understands korean premodern literature and korean modern literature as a continual one. So to speak, the totality of literary history.
2. I think that the most marked feature on the study of korean modern literature is the moral dichotomy. The moral dichotomy has a tendancy of obstructing the road to truth of work. So, on the study of korean modern literature, we have to go over the moral dichotomy.
3. A serious problem in the study of korean modern literature is the domination of the amountism. The amountism hurts the creativie study. It also brings about plagiarism, especially self-plagiarism.
4. In the sphere of study of korean modern literature, the atmosphere that depreciate the actual proof prevails. But it is the base on which the study of literature is possible. Now, we must get back the spirit of actual proof.
5. In the recent studies, the one of the marked features is to focus on the out of work. Now, we also have to look at the in of the work. It means that we have to study the principles of literature itself.
